Part 2 of my iron journey! IV iron helps people who are iron deficient. My IV took 15 minutes and replenished more iron than I would've gotten if I took iron pills for a whole year (not to mention the iron pill has side effects.) Iron infusions have gotten a bad reputation due to allergic reactions with the first formulations over 60 years ago, however, new formulations have virtually no side effects. In 6 months, I'll get blood work done to make sure everything's looking good, and I'll come back for another infusion in a couple years.
